Zespara AlatharParticipant
Did anybody ever get hold of that episode?
I have “Rainmaker Faker” on 16mm film but I have no means to transfer onto a useful medium. I have an 8mm viewer but that makes it very heard to watch the episode. I cannot confirm or deny that it contains the FMG sequence in it. I remember watching it when it originally aired in the mid-60s. Yes, I am that old. 😀
I will try to find someone who can transfer it completely to DVD.

Zespara AlatharParticipantAccording to Rich, the episode was entitled, “Rainmaker Faker”.

Zespara AlatharParticipantI used to communicate with Rich for a bit on the Valkyrie site. He’s written a few stories over there plus he pointed me to the Sinbad Jr episode that has the only Fmg sequence in the entire run of the show.

Zespara AlatharParticipantIf you find a video of the entire episode, the muscle sequence with Lois is at the end of the show at the 20:20 mark. Coincidence with the new year? :shrugs:
It appears that the female muscle fetish is with one or more of the writers/creators of Family Guy. 😀

Zespara AlatharParticipantI will post the four part story when I get back from my golf vacation. 😉
It has four chapters and I will do one post for each.
Of course, it was never completed. :nods to AlexG:

Zespara AlatharParticipantWell, I finally managed to find the story and saved it to my HD. The title of the story arc was “The New Isis”. Evidently, the Grey Archives listed on the Wayback website only provided viewable backups on certain dates. I searched several of the backup dates and finally found one that allowed to me to search the old website until I found what I was looking for. 😀
I’m thinking of looking up an old Supergirl/Vampirella storyline (not sure if it was called Dark Supergirl or not).
If anyone is interested I can reprint the Isis storyline. However, the story is adult erotica and I’m not sure if would be allowed to be posted on this site.

Zespara AlatharParticipantWhat I have noticed with the artwork of Mr. Byrne during his run involving She-Hulk was that he tended to draw Jennifer as a fitness-type physique until she exerted herself with feats of strength. Then she started to bulk up a bit and show muscle definition. I noticed that with her stint in the FF and also in her own title drawn by him.

You refer to Sinbad Jr and the Magic Belt. A Hanna-Barbera artoon from the 60’s. I have no idea about an episode involving a girl using it.
I could be wrong but I believe the episode is “Rainmaker Fakers”. Also, good luck finding it. I’ve been on the hunt for that one ever since DCM introduced Dyna years ago.
I actually have the 16mm film of that episode of Sinbad Jr. which I bought from someone on eBay. I’ve tried to view it but the viewer I have is only for 8mm film. I need to find a place to transfer it to a DVD. From what I’ve heard from Rich, this is the episode that he worked on in the ’60s that featured a girl using Sinbad’s magic belt to gain muscle size.

Zespara AlatharParticipantThis past week on the Guardians of the Galaxy animated show, Ronan increased Nebula’s size and strength with the aid of the cosmic seed incorporated with his hammer. The episode name is “I’ve Been Searching So Long”. She experienced her FMG during the 22-27m segment.
The animation and depiction of her muscles were very well done, IMO. It is very rare that the folks in the animation world get it right regarding this particular genre. I’m still not happy with her not having any hair though. :/
Does anyone have any screen captures to share? I still have the episode on my DVR but I don’t have the means to transfer this online properly.

Zespara AlatharParticipantThere were also times back then in the same series where Rogue absorbed She Hulk, Juggernaut and a physically muscular and tall black amazon woman, and each time Rogue grew in size and strength. One more of the many reasons I loved X-men back then(still do enjoy modern Xmen but not as much due to all the constant changes of the non good kind).
Well… I do know that Rogue absorbed the She-Hulk’s powers in Uncanny X-Men Annual #7. The name of the story was Scavenger Hunt involving the Impossible Man. The main problem with the story was that several artists were used in the story giving no consistency with the artwork. Rogue was larger and muscular when drawn by one artist but normal but green by another.
Rogue took Juggernaut’s powers in Marvel Team-Up #150. In that issue, she did grow large and was in charge for sure. The artwork was fine and it was the first time she underwent what we traditionally call FMG in a comic book.
I’m not familiar with the story with the black amazon woman. That sounds like Frenzy who appeared in several X-books but I never heard of that story. I’m guessing it was after the mid-2000s when I stopped collecting comics.
