I found a new novel that features a 16 year old female bodybuilder as one of its two main characters. It was reviewed in the weekend section of London’s Financial Times, of all places!

I’ve read up to page 16 so far. Not bad for a mainstream product, even if it doesn’t indulge our fantasies in the same way our discussion boards do.

By the time she hit junior high, she was worked, thick with muscle and intimidating to some of her teachers. Her abdominals were like six caramel apples, and her shoulders were as wide as an Olympic swimmer’s. At home, she walked around in her sports bra, on display, pausing to flex in mirrors and snack on protein.
