Wow, that's great Jeremy. I didn't think to try The Wayback Machine. Still I wonder the reason for taking down the stories? Did he join the priesthood or something?

I'm playing the demo and I am liking it a lot. Very nice graphics, flawless response to the controls, very smooth running on my pc even though it's a few years old now. I played the last one all the way through and liked it even though the controls were very buggy and the graphics did weird stuff.

I like it because I'm very shallow and love to watch Lara's T&A jiggling through the game. I like mastering the controls to swing, jump and climb my way through the obstacles. I like exploring the levels, finding secrete places and solving the puzzles. I like to play shooter games like Quake, Half Life and Unreal and feel that Tomb Raider is a bit milder on the shooting and gore so I don't feel so bad playing it with my kids 2 & 6 years old.

I didn't like the new Doom. I feel it was too dark and shooting things in the dark was getting old so I didn't finish it. And my machine was getting low frame rates and it felt spotty. I didn't buy the new Quake because it is built on the same engine as Doom.

So waiting for a new Half-life or Unreal will take years and me and my older son had a lot of fun on Angle of Darkness so this new game looks like a real kick to me. Then there is no accounting for taste. LOL

I'm buying this as soon as it's out, I've got desktop Lara running and climbing my windows with a grappling hook. I love this stuff and I'm and old guy.

Here are the specs on my machine. I’m hopping in a year or so the wife will let me build a new one and give this one to the kids to replace my P3 500M back-up system:

    Windows XP Pro sp2
    ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe Bios 1014
    P4/3.4GHZ Intel Northwood
    Mushkin 1GB '222 Special' PC3200
2 WD Raptor 74 GB in Raid 0 on the Intel ICH5
    ASUS Radeon 9800 xt
    Creative Audigy2 ZS
    Antec Truepower 550 Watt ATX
    CDRW Liteon 52X32X52X LTR
    DVD+/- Plextor PX-708A/SW
    1.44MB Panasonic JU-256A
    CPU Fan Zalman CNPS700A-CU RT
    MNTR Mitsubish/22 DP2070SB_BK CRT
    KB Logitech/Elite Black
    Logitech MX700 cordless optical mouse
    Case Antec/Plusview 1000AMG LE RET

    Peace
