It plays just fine in Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X (yes, there is a Mac version of WMP!)

Did she win that contest? She certainly deserved to… she had the superior physique and GREAT posing and personality!!

    Thanks for sharing this!

This is a hard question to answer, because my style (as I think any artist's does) evolved over time.

It's like the old joke, "How do you carve a statue of an elephant?" "Take a piece of stone and carve away everything that doesn't look like an elephant." Well, when I approach a drawing, I just start putting the lines down on paper until the picture I see in my mind is (approximately) on the paper.

I've always been fond of the look of comic-book art, and many of the artists I studied and emulated would be familiar to almost anyone on this board, but to almost nobody outside of comics fandom: Jack Kirby, Neal Adams, John Romita, John Buscema, and others. And when I discovered manga and anime, I began to add their influences to my "style", such as it is: Takahashi Rumiko, Mikimoto Haruhiko, Matsumoto Leiji, the character designers at KItty Films (Urusei Yatsura) and Tatsunoko Productions (Macross, Gatchaman[/i]), etc.

As for the "accuracy" of my anatomy: well, I think I've still got a looonnng way to go in that department, but I do appreciate your compliments. (And I happen to like "freaky" biceps… If you've ever seen a pic of Joan Lauth* flexing her guns, then you know what I mean. I like biceps that are not only hard as a rock, but also look like they were carved out of rock.)

I also notice about my own work that there's not a whole lot of difference between my "comics realism" style and my "manga/anime" style, and that's something I'd like to work on, to get the latter more "authentic" looking.

*Dammit! the WPW site won't let me link directly to her pages!

I'll admit, it gave me a bit of a start when I saw that "Salon Steele" shirt…  😮 Anyone know when that comic was published? …did one of my old Xeroxed Satin Steele comics find its way into the hands of a Marvel staffer?

Do what I do. Pick up a lot of Spider-man, too 😛

Then you look like a Marvel whore rather than a femuscle lover 😉

"Marvel whore"  😆 … is that the new term now? Back when I was reading comics on a regular basis we called 'em "Marvel zombies"… the fanboys who never considered the possibilty that a) DC could ever publish anything of any quality at all (how could it, if it didn't have Wolverine and/or Spider-Man in it?) or b) Marvel could ever publish utter crap (how could it be crap, if it had Wolverine and/or Spider-Man in it?)

Great work!  Your work is some of the best on the web.  I was wondering, after reading Dyna Bio on your site, I note that the power belt thing that she wears has 3 settings.  I've just got to ask the question, when we are going to see settings 2 and 3?

    I can't say when… I want their first appearance(s) to be a surprise!

However, it might still not be impossible for such a game to exist… if someone were able to program the game and figure out the plot and everthing, all DCM would hafta do is provide the sprites (For those of you who don't speak game-lingo, those are the images used in a video game, much like what cels are to animation).

    That could work!!

I just wanted to chime in and show my support for this budding artist.  Great work.  And DCM… how do you get that smilel that is thinking "Good Work!", and is there any way to make him think anything else?

This site (an English-language version of a German site) is a source for lots of cool smileys (smilies?)

It also provides a smilie generator that allows you to choose from about 35 smilies, lets you type some text into a field, and choose whether the text appears in a sign or a thought bubble. It'll generate the smilie for you, and you can then download it to your hard drive, from there to whatever host server you use (in my case, my website server).

    HOOO-BOY! What a test!! 😮

Thanks for finding that clip… it was nice to actually be able to read the subtitles!!

(My only real complaint about the clip is that the giantess doesn't "jiggle" enough when she walks… Japanese animators usually do "jiggle" rather well…)

Besides u got the perfect character to fan the flames of the James Dobson-American Family Association-type crowd, Thorndyke.

I can tell you that Thorndyke's social views are actually quite liberal; personally he wouldn't have a problem with practically anything anyone wants to wear. BUT, he is a real ratings whore, and he'll take whichever side he thinks will win his reports the most viewers in any controversy. (Which would make things interesting between Thorndyke and his cameraman Scott, who'd naturally take Dyna's side, if Thorndyke decided that it'd be better for ratings to appear to side with the "morality" crowd. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time Scott and Tom have clashed over a story…)

Lol,So it definitely be funny if she was given a recommended list of appropriate attire on national television. 😀

I can see a press conference, complete with crude illustrations (made by some staffer's 13-year-old son who's "so talented!"), giving examples of what they think would be appropriate to wear.

Cheez, some of this could actually work as a bit of "side story"… I'll have to keep this in mind!!
