ParticipantI remember Mysterious Cities Of Gold! At about the same time, we also had Eighty Days Around The World in the UK. I also very vaguely remember Ulysses 31. Those were the days!

ParticipantBeautiful, beautiful work. I’m really happy a sequel is on the cards! Thanks to everyone involved.

ParticipantCowprobe: thank you very much! I now have a definite plan for Sam’s stories – they started out as an excuse for random growth scenes using genre staples, but now I know where he’s heading.
The Highlander: d’you know, I forgot those ending paragraphs existed until you mentioned them? Sorry! However, with Flexie I wanted the final line to be the revelation that Sam was back. This time I wanted the final line to be something different.
Maybe certain people’s destinies have changed…

ParticipantCowprobe: thank you! It was a last minute decision to make this a Sam story – I’d just been inspired by having an attractive waitress. Sam was always basically an excuse to write growth scenes!
Jonno: thanks, that’s very kind. I really enjoyed writing this one.
yaracyrrah80: thanks a lot! I was worried I’d gone a bit weird with some of the words I used, but that kind of feedback is what a writer craves.
blah8884: thank you, sir! When I first started writing I resolved never to leave a story unfinished… however, Miss Morris is a pretty demanding character! I wrote F&B in a night, whereas I will have to dedicate weeks to the next chapter of MM. Also, weirdly, I’m much more keen to write the final chapter than the next one.
That’s not to say that it’s not coming. Or, to put it a less confusing way, it’s coming. It just might be A While.

ParticipantFonk here to say “Thanks for your compliments, sir!” I’ve started back on the Miss Morris story – the third chapter is underway and I’ve also made some progress on the final one, which I’ve had outlined in my head for longer than any of the other chapters.
It’ll take time – perhaps even lots of time, given that I have a second job now – but I promise to finish the story at some point.
