ParticipantI say that’d be a nice idea, except for the fact that people will want to get to those parts at all costs, even if posting like this
"…"
will increase their post count, and thats not really helping anybody at all…then who wants to go through the trouble of deleting those?…I think if anything, a post that somebody took the time to post because they wanted to, and not to get their rank up, is a good post ^_^;
Yeah, post spamming might be a problem. I think this idea would be a more realistic one if and when She Grew! evolves into a large scale web forum. It’s something more managable with multiple administrators and a legion of moderators. But in the end it’s all up to the mighty Lingster.
Interesting idea.
I always preferred wheelbarrows full of money as motivation for myself, but this might work too.
Who doesn’t prefer money? 😛

ParticipantI appreciate all the positive motivation, and I’ll just make my point to the Journal post. You have to consider that although it’s a three page thread, it’s also a thread that consists of three drawings with one that’s been updated a few times. I think that this is the only factor that contributes to the large volume of responses on this thread. And on top of that, several people posted more than once. 20 people have posted on this tread, which is a number I really appreciate. But the reply to views ratio is what gets to me the most. It’s roughly a 1% reply to views ratio. Rob really hit it on the spot, it’s really a lurker thing. But as an artist seeking feedback, I have to assume the worst out of this lack of response. If a greater percentage of people started posting, I wouldn’t be having this problem.

ParticipantDyna is in even more danger if her powers fade when her belt is taken away
That kind of provokes a thought. What if the belt was still on and the electricity caused the belt to overload? Hmmm… extreme growth possiblity perhaps? 😀

ParticipantThat looks great, if thats just a teaser, I’d wonder what the final product would look like 😀

ParticipantThe movie sounds interesting, but finding programs from the 80’s can be quite a hassle. Good luck on that. 😕

ParticipantIt was kind of weird for me the first time around. But knowing that she does a lot of exercise, it’s not really that unexpected. It’s just from her apperance, you don’t really see the muscle until she flexes.

ParticipantJust a question for everyone. Should I start posting all the new chapters in separate threads? Because I know from first hand experience how annoying it can be going from thread to thread to get the whole story.

ParticipantI’d like to but, that animation was done without the aid of a pegboard and tracing paper. It was done on scraps of marker layout paper cut in various odd sizes. To in-between that particular animation would be a major undertaking.
Fortunately I have constructed a crude pegboard and when I get the time and energy I will be able to give the 2D animation a second try, without all the registration problems I had first time.
There’s a website that sells animation supplies. It’s where my college gets all the supplies for students (I’m studying to become an animator myself). If I find the site, I could send you the link. The thing is, I know for a fact that these things don’t come cheap. An animation disk with a desk stand comes in, I think, at over $300.
