phenomsParticipant*Bump*
Just bringing this back into the spotlight to see if this time I can get more feedback than last time.

phenomsParticipantThanks for clearing it up. Yes I hate it when people use incorrect terms.
Thanks for the support. :cheer:

phenomsParticipantBro, I don’t mean to bust your balls but getting upset over things like this severely reduces your probable outcome of getting laid.
It’s an almost all male board so I certainly HOPE it redces me chances of getting laid here! And kindly leave my balls alone, its creeping me out.

phenomsParticipantMark, check your site link in your signature. It does not resolve properly.
oh wow.. that’s a lot to take in… you certainly know design!!
Thank you. You see what I mean about sharing what you have to offer with the community? This sort of thing is usually something you may see me helping with because I do have the background and aptitude for it.
i haven’t seen the UX Movement site before.. lots of great articles on there… i’ll definitely work in rounded corners and use more in-page links!
Admittedly UX Movement is a rather recent resource for me as well. But it, like A List Apart epitomize everything I believe is good and necessary in the process of design and development.
as for me i’m pretty much just a computer geek with some limited design, shooting and editing skills…
I would say you are being modest in your assessment of your own skills. I noticed that you had also covered your legal bases with the Record Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement and RTA Verified Label. The production quality in your preview video is leaps and bounds above many other sites.
i’m focusing on the marketing and better design to try to get a little financial return on the investment… though my traffic is soooooo far off from the big female muscle sites i might never break even…
You appear to have all the right tools (literally and figuratively) to make a go of this venture and have it exceed your expectations. But it will take time and dedication to reach that level.
but i’d still like to continue to have a nice site with solid content and good design so i’m taking in all the feedback i can to make the site more user friendly and as contemporary as possible…
so if you or anyone has more advice on making a better more usable site please let me know!
Mark, I could easily look closer and closer at your site and offer up many more suggestions. The only question is how far down the rabbit’s hole would you like that to go?
I had asked you a question that you never answered…
does anyone have any constructive feedback for updating the site? we are looking to make it the best female muscle site possible so any feedback is appreciated…
This is a rather vague request. “Best female muscle site” does not communicate what you want to accomplish or what will set you apart.
once i get the new design dialed in i’ll run it by and see what you think!
You should take screen captures of your designs to watch your own evolution. Personally I try to archive all code, content, design, and media from every incarnation of every site. I can’t tell you how many times I have re-referenced my old archives to refresh my memory or steal code to re-use it.
i’ve always been into female muscle and i’m pretty sure 99% of everyone shooting photos and videos of female muscle girls do it to meet the women… so i figured i’d create a site as an expensive hobby to meet girls… and it works! so now that i’ve got the girl
OH!!! DO TELL!!! :woohoo:

phenomsParticipantWhoops.
I forgot to mention a few other things.
Concerning the auto-play video, the most aggravating thing about it is that if I look at another page on the site and then hit the back button. The video RE-plays. The same goes for if I were to hit the reload/refresh button. Set a cookie to see if the video has already been played. You can then use that same space to feature some different kind of static content like a promo or discount because the video has already created eye draw for you, the eye will still jump to that area of the page. Putting new content there in it’s place will increase the attention of anything occupying that space. Of course, provide a screenshot thumbnail link so those that still want to view the video can still get to it. Links in that area will become a tracking goldmine. If you are tracking which links are clicked on your site, you should see overwhelming favor go to links in that area. Having 2 promos there will tell you which promo content/feature your visitors are most interested in. Tracking clicks to return to the preview video will also tell you what kind of interest it is garnering and how much pull it has to draw visitors back to it for additional viewing.
Also, two sites that you MUST know about and read regularly are A List Apart and UX Movement. View this article about round versus sharp corners at UX Movement. If that does not convince you that UX Movement (and A List Apart) is a must read, and that my eye draw suggestions have merit, its doubtful that anything will.

phenomsParticipant* is it clear that the site is a credit based business model where you purchase credits and unlock the videos to see the full length version? is there anything i could add to make that more clear?
Yes. Multiple things, the first being eye draw. Beyond “above the fold”, the eye will be naturally drawn to particular regions first, some longer than others, and some more scan passes* than others. Eye draw must not only be a consideration of your design’s visual aesthetic, but should be an intentional and directed aspect. This way visitors are both consciously and subconsciously led to not only what interests them, but also in where YOU want their attention.
*Scan passes: Reference to the rapid darting movements of the pupil that combined with “persistence of vision”** enable us to assemble in our minds the visual information we need and that are of interest.
**Persistence of Vision: Look it up!! 😉
That said, your two strongest eye draws on the present design are the artwork commissioned from Nema, and the video.
Your text is lost amid the babe flesh, real OR drawn. You may need to have a strong visual(s) on the front page of a graphic click-through(s) that lead to another page that allows better emphasis on text simply by de-emphasizing the babe flesh.
You have several missed opportunities in the video. Intermingle textual transitions between the scenes. Be certain to clearly introduce each model in the video by name so that when a visitor sees one they like, they know who they will want without ambiguity or guess work. Have textual transitions which inform visitors of information they will want to know right away (how much $), and of what you want them to know right away (credit based).
While you do spell it out clearly on the front page, I have visited your site multiple times while interacting with this thread, and until you asked this question, I never took notice of anywhere you happen to clearly say it is a credit based site until you asked it in here. Why? Because here, the emphasis is always on the text and on your site, my eyes went from babe flesh straight to the menus in the footer.
Something else concerning the eye draw of the video. You do not provide a way to pause or stop the video. Aside from auto-play (especially without an off switch) being poor netiquette, the constant movement is too distracting. No one will read anything you have taken the trouble to write on the front page because there are giant glistening boobies and rock hard feminine gyrating abdominals to be looked at. And also…. booooobiiiiiiiiessssssss……………. I forget what I was saying.
Ok not really.
Get the idea?
It’s clear that you are a knowledgeable person and I’m sure could share, contribute, and teach much, but without ingratiating yourself upon the community or becoming a part of it you will ultimately be passing up on a tremendous amount of potential attention AND sales.
i’d certainly like to be part of the community and share, contribute and teach anything i can…
thanks
mark
Wonderful.
My first question then is, what would you say are your strongest areas of technical expertise? Are you the videographer? The editor of the videos? Are you a tech geek, a marketing guru? Those are just as examples. I’ll let you fill in the real answers.
Kudos on responding to this thread and not simply using our participation and the site’s traffic to elevate your page rank. Also kudos for signing your name. Those 2 simple little acts are a good start on becoming a part of this community. 🙂
Incidentally, are you an actual connoisseur of femuscle or is this all just about making a go of a business targeting our particular little market share?

phenomsParticipantWhen I saw the artwork on the site a few months ago, I asked the site owner the same question. He couldn’t remember initially who he commissioned it from, but said he found him on DeviantART. I hunted around a bit and gave him a few names and we eventually figured out it was NemaFronSpain. He’s a great artist and I had to commission him for a few pieces after finding out this was his art.
Oh!! I know Nema. I love his stuff and have him on my watch list and have many of his artworks as favorites. I am very impressed with your detective work elee! Thank you so much for sharing your discovery.
You said you commissioned from Nema yourself? Is it anything that you have shared?

phenomsParticipantIMHO W13 was probably semi-inspired by an earlier Sci-Fi mini-series The Lost Room with its empowered objects and the various factions seeking to collect them all
Like Pokemon!! Gotta Collect them all!!
I watched the trailer to jog my memory. I missed most of that one unfortunately. I think the Ft13th series is much closer to W13. Even the main characters. An older wiser man in charge that sometimes comes to the rescue, and younger male and female leads that primarily work the field while the older male stays back and keeps shop and does research.
Space: A&B, I recall that one, it was on FOX back early 90s.
Yup.
One from the 70s, which had alot of potential, but was too ahead of it time for the audience of that era was The Fantastic Journey, which if rebooted would do very well today. Even had an amazonian character called Liana as played by Katie Saylor.
I am not sure if I remember that one or just think I do.
Reading the imdb description made me laugh though:
They meet up with travelers from other times, planets and dimensions who have also become trapped, and together they “slide” through portals from one dimension to the next hoping to find the one that leads home.
…….Sliiiderrrrsssss!!!
Mmmmmmm Kari Wuhrer…
She was in the Swamp Thing series also.
If you want an interesting mini exploration, read the IMDB Biography of Dick Durock (played Swamp Thing). His credits will catch your attention… as should a Google Image search! (*cough* Imperious Leader *cough*)

phenomsParticipantI like Warehouse 13. It’s sort of a different spin off the older Friday the 13th series of artifacts with powers and missions to collect them. I never got into that show, but I like the Warehouse 13 dynamic better. That, and I’ve been enthralled with Joanne Kelly ever since she played Bianca on The Dresden Files. And then they introduced Allison Scagliotti as Claudia. All I can say is shwiing. She just does it for me.
Sanctuary I could do without but watch anyway when it is on. They’ve stretched that show out with fewer episodes per season than any I can ever think of and then space the seasons so far apart that it crawls back just about the time I’ve decided it must’ve been quietly cancelled.
I did not think of it earlier, but SciFi does deserve credit for the reboot of Battlestar Gallactica.
On a seperate note, I miss Space: Above and Beyond. All this scifi talk has me starting to think of older shows long since gone. Mmmmmmm, Kristen Cloke.

This is a rather vague request. “Best female muscle site” does not communicate what you want to accomplish or what will set you apart.
Viewing your site, you have well produced content and reasonably clear navigation, but ultimately lack initial stickiness because there is nowhere to really go. It’s pay the cover charge or leave and oh here’s a flyer for our available services.
Nearly all of the most successful sites catering to the femuscle community are run by long standing, recognizable, well esteemed active members of the community and often have a face or face(s) to associate with. Tre, Andy (Muscle Goddesses), GeneX and James Cook, Diana (the Valkyrie), etc.
It’s clear that you are a knowledgeable person and I’m sure could share, contribute, and teach much, but without ingratiating yourself upon the community or becoming a part of it you will ultimately be passing up on a tremendous amount of potential attention AND sales.
