This is the only one I found from a few years back.  I’d specifically like to find some that centers on the FBB… I’d love to finish my drawings for my stories someday.

Hehe, if you liked that reference, you'll love this one…http://vito-excalibur.livejournal.com/114588.html

OK, it would have been a bit better if he had taken more time with the drawings, and without the sultry men section, although that it is extremely funny.

If you really want FBB related how-to-draw material, you should check out Glenn Fabry's books:
Anatomy for Fantasy Artists: An Illustrator's Guide to Creating Action Figures and Fantastical Forms – There's a few pages on a character with a female bodybuilder type physique.
Muscles in Motion – Figure Drawing for the Comic Book Artist – The title is misleading in that it is not a how-to-draw book, but more of an artist's sketch book. It features lots of sketches of fitness models and female bodybuilders though.

There's the odd muscular woman sketch in other how-to-draw comics books I've read, but they are mostly used as examples of "what not to do". Grrr!

Other than that, I suggest following Tonus's excellent advice and just starting with the basics and building up gradually.

Here are some links that I've found really useful.
Figure drawing: Basic Pose and Construction – The FARP tutorials range in quality, but this one is awesome.
Musculature Anatomy Chart – It's male, I'm afraid, but luckily men and women have exactly the same muscles, no matter what some people might say.  😛

I can also recommend a really easy and fun way to learn the simplified figure mannequin and muscle anatomy chart. Start with a picture of a female bodybuilder with proportions you really like and with an interesting pose, then trace the mannequin over the top of it. If you don't have a tablet, you could do this by printing it out and using a pencil. Then you can copy the mannequin drawing to a new sheet and draw the muscles from the bodybuilder in the photo on top, using the anatomy chart as a reference. If you do this enough times, you will find it easier to draw the mannequin and muscles for any pose you can imagine, without needing the references. I've started doing this in the last few months and have already noticed a huge improvement in my drawing skill and visual memory.

I guess Flexia wasn't quite finished with you yet. ;D Good thing for us too.

The upper body has improved quite a lot since the last update I downloaded. Actually, the whole thing seems to have come together quite quickly, especially for the fiddly bits like the head and hands. I would love to see a low-res wireframe of your mesh.

Thank you for your suggestions Reason.  Would you be able to take a snapshot of the model and sketch some correction lines on top of it to illustrate what you are saying?

Here are some sketches to show you what I meant. Naturally, everyone's going to have a slightly different opinion on ideal proportions, etc, but hopefully they show how the satorius (inside) and tensor fasciae latae (outside) sort of look like a pair of calipers that are attached to the end of the pelvic ridge and travel down either side of the quad muscles and eventually insert into the lower knee.

Good luck with the rest of your model. I look forward to when you hit the Zbrush stage.

Made something for all y'all. It's unpolished as all get out but please enjoy. 🙂

Sorry for being dense, but I don't get why people find thread necromancy so annoying. Is it really better to start a new thread if you want to continue an existing discussion that you or others weren't around for the start of? I mean do all discussions really become irrelevant just because a certain amount of time has passed or the originator is no longer around?

Wow, it's great to see you tackling a full body model. Should be pretty amazing if you end up using your cloth technique to have all of the muscles bulging beneath the skin! Anyway, it's coming along great. The upper body is particularly stellar, with all the muscle shapes flowing into each other nicely. It might just be a style thing, but the quads don't look quite right to me yet. The rectus femoris muscles seem to end too early and poke out a bit too much where they insert at the bottom. Also, the tensor fasciae latae and sartorius muscles seem to be missing, or at least start too far below the illiac spine. Adding these would help the upper legs flow into the hips better. Again, it might be a style thing, but I would also like her butt to be bigger and go further past her crotch.

Sorry for all of the anatomical terms, but there just aren't common names for each individual muscle.

It looks like RapidShare isn't the best hosting service to use for this purpose as it only allows a total of 10 downloads! Perhaps you could try one of the others suggested by Tonus.

Found this great photo.  Anyone know anymore about this photo background or the person in it?

Most amazing back I've seen in a while.

That photo is of figure competitor, Rachel Grice from the UK.
Here's proof…http://www.rachael-grice.co.uk/gallery/?level=picture&id=78
She is the reigning Miss Universe and has the sexiest competition routine I have ever seen, figure or bodybuilding.
