ParticipantThe problem, Ristard, is that there’s insufficient incentive for editors.
I feel like the biggest hurdle facing authors and artists is perceived apathy. I’m happy to spend hours on a single morph, for example, if I feel as though my time was "worth" it. I personally value praise, constructive criticism, and appreciation above any monetary incentive. I guess that is most actors’ draw towards theater.
The problem comes when you have a silent audience. Did they like it? Did they get it? Did I bomb?
When you have a bunch of lurkers who enjoy the work but don’t post, the artist doesn’t get a good sense of how their art is perceived. So, my question was simply this; how can we motivate lurkers to post?
I have been trying to figure out how to make a site that awards points based on contributions to the site. How do you make a lurker more active? Reward them for contributing. As things stand, I can easily take in all that this site has to offer and contribute nothing in return. If there was a point-based system where you had to pay 2 points to “buy” read rights to a story, for example, I’d find a way to earn my credit balance. So, an author or artist would receive a certain number of points in their account based on their contributions, then would use those points to be able to view other authors’ works.
This obviously poses a lot of questions. Does an author get more points for writing more words, for example, or is it the content that determines the work’s worth? If it is the content, who determines the value of the work? Is it a panel of judges?
I would also expect that there would be some number of points before someone is eligible for lifetime membership.
Just my two cents – American not Canadian. ;o)

ParticipantFantastic story! Keep up the great work – I just love my Marvel/DC women growing like crazy.
I wrote a story a while back about a witch who created a magic marble with the ability to absorb the powers of any superhero and, of course, transfer that power to anyone the weilder chose… One of those what if Wonder Woman had been exposed to gamma rays on the planet of Krypton type stories. ;o) I’ll have to see if I lost it in the crash.

ParticipantSorry – that was the bad version. I have updated the pic on the server to reflect the color corrected version.
All the best.

ParticipantI’d also like to appologize for not contributing for a little while. My hal.dll file was deleted by some schmoe or got corrupted which wreaked havock on a scsi disk with ntfs!
Anyway, I’m slowly getting myself back in business.

ParticipantAre you kidding me? That’s a fantastic story.
I read the whole series one night and that’s what really turned me on to this genre. I still reread that story a couple of times a year.

ParticipantI don’t know if he got his name from antiquity, but "Praetorians" were the body guards of Roman emperors.
There’s a brief reference to a praetorian in "Gladiator" when Maximus kills the first two praetorians then calls out to the third on horseback.
I like it. 😉

ParticipantI finnally found out I had an attraction to both men AND women and found growth and muscles ever so appealing, such as that scene in "dude wheres my car" some one propaply knows what im talking about 😉
That’s pretty funny. I found out I liked growth and muscles while watching "The Superfriends" on my Saturday morning cartoons and seeing Giganta grow 50 feet tall…
Well, that, and one of my first crushes was Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter).
"In her silky tights – fighting for your rights – Wonder Woman!"

ParticipantThanks!
My biggest hurdle is finding enough high quality pictures of muscular women. Any time you try looking for fitness women, they are significantly more petite than you guys want. Any time I look for muscle women, I get low quality jpg’s and screen shots from Arnold Classics and whatnot. All the higher quality pix are at pay sites.
I’m going to have to open an ftp site somewhere and start taking donations of muscle pix…
