ParticipantWell, I dunno…I think art is more about expression than money anyhow.
BTW, added a brief bio for her in the original post, as was requested.

ParticipantNice color work there, bud. 🙂
Here's the thing: I don't have any preferences to switch off. I draw all sorts of characters of all different body types, but it really doesn't matter what variety I put in, people just look for things to pick on. I mean yeah, I realize that my extreme work appeals to a small demographic, but that doesn't mean I haven't tried regular run-of-the-mill stuff, either. Point is that when you do what everyone else does, your work tends to become invisible.

ParticipantBy the way, I meant to mention that while some of you said you were jealous, there's no need to be. We each have our own styles to contribute to the board and not one of us can carry it ourselves. At the end of the day we're all just a bunch of weird artists posting weird art, and though I've never been able to understand it, I've found acceptance and fans who like what I post here.
I tried to give it a go with the usual mainstream stuff, but people just didn't want it. :p

ParticipantBaloney; I like Lu. 🙂 Interesting contrast in physical power and hesitant vulnerability.
I'll be back with a full bio on Britt here sometime today (that's the name I chose for her, unless someone has a better suggestion).

ParticipantI expected reactions to be mixed on this one, just because the concept is all over the map. :p

ParticipantVery good; it looks believable in a realistic sense, and that's not easy to capture.
Oversized musculature is something you get used to over time; one of the things that most people forget to do is enlarge the skeletal structure that supports them as well. Oftentimes I'll create a character by drawing the general outline first just to get proportion and dimension down, and then go back and do the actual image. This helps a lot in maintaining some sense of balance.

ParticipantIronically, Lindy's Elvira-inspired getup shares a lot in common with Cassandra Peterson (Elvira's civilian identity): both are redheads with ridiculously ovesized wigs. :p

ParticipantJust about everything I do is an offshoot of my animation-influenced style. The fewer lines I can use to create an image the better, although I still sometimes go back to my earlier prediliction of heavy detailing (the genie image is an example of this). A lot of my more detailed work is influenced by the now-defunct Filmation.

ParticipantWow, I totally missed that this had been posted. That's a great color style, and hearkens back to when I was approaching the subject of FBBs with a more Nagel-inspired line. 😀 I'm thinking about experimenting with that again (a more angular style), so it'll be inetersting to see how the colorists will handle that.
