I guess that I never appreciated much of a difference between pseudoscience and magic. Things that occur beyond the understanding of a given person appear to be magical.

Having said that — I enjoy it when a nerd tries to intervene on behalf of an undertall, underdeveloped, underappreciated underdog nerdette friend. Of course she is unaware of his attempts and he doesn’t get things quite right. The result is that the female in question grows to become much bigger than he had planned.

I like the idea of an undertall, underdeveloped, underappreciated underdog growing into a Babe-zilla because of an accident or miscalculation by one of her equally nerdy secret admirers. At first she is anxious but then eventually grows to like what is happening to her.

I agree with Ristard, Ibujold. You have a great idea and also the basic outline for it. Take your time and just add more details. You’ll have a complete story before you know it.

I appreciate many of the same FMG themes noted above. I am much more appreciative of the empowerment of a undersized, underdeveloped, and underappreciated female than of the disempowerment of guys. Having said that, I do appreciate many role reversal stories but tend to lose interest when the female is or becomes evil unless another female grows to even things out and allow some justice. Teasing can be great fun but not if it is violent or mean-spriited.

I really like the stories where the female is originally unaware of what is going to happen to her. For example, her growth is either the result of an accident or the result of a well-meaning equivalently nerdy male friend’s activities. All the better if the results develop to a point that is much more than he expects.

Sex described in detail is fine if the story is otherwise well-written and engaging. The stories that could stand alone without the sex scenes tend to be better stories in my experience. I suppose it is the difference between a FMG story that contains sex vs a sex story that happens to contain FMG.

I have had the good fortune and pleasure of knowing some fantastic tall women.

Some tall women have reinforced my interest and some have given me a reaction similar to bobman345’s.

I think that it has a lot to do with how comfortable they are with being tall and, perhaps more importantly, whether or not they are otherwise attractive (personality-wise and physically).

The tallest woman that I knew was the oldest sister of an old girlfriend. When I was a short H.S. freshman, she played college basketball. She admitted to 6′ 6". When I first met her, she was wearing a bikini. I only came up to whatever that little nubbin is called at the bottom of her breastbone.
