ParticipantI'm glad Jimmy is still writing.

ParticipantThanks folks.
I got started on "Friday" and have a good idea where it's all going. Then, inspiration hit on another story project and so I've diverted my energies to that for awhile. All for a good cause, I assure you. Friday will come. Life has its demands, but in this area I just do what's fun.

ParticipantActually, it was the inspiration for Matt and Emma.
As for the source of the magic, "when you wish upon a star …."
And now, over to Helplesscase.

ParticipantMy version of Boys Will Be Boys is now up on DtV.
Mark Newman
ParticipantI will post my version of Boys will be Boys as Helplesscase has asked. It would be great if he wrote a sequel to it.

ParticipantI'm halfway done and enjoying it very much (as I expected I would). I do enjoy paradigm shift stories and yours are very well done. I thought the parts with Trish were especially good.
Thanks so much for posting and giving me and the rest of us so much pleasure.

ParticipantI certainly am not going to enter a flame war on this or anything else.
Jimmy is free to post his own stories.
Let's just be clear that his story has nothing to do with mine. He might blow up the school in his story. It will still exist in mine.
As for Marilyn's email box, I have taken ideas from other contributors to the email box and incorporated them into the story. I told Jimmy that his ideas were not compatible with my plot but that he could pursue him on his own. They're not junk, but they are very different from mine. I did ask him to do so in another "school", so that his plot did not interfere with mine. He wasn't able to do that. OK. I had to accept that. It is his own story.
And that is all I have to say on the subject.
Mark Newman
ParticipantI warned you, Jimmy.
It's one thing to write a sequel to a finished story but you're writing your own very different story in the middle of mine.
Let's just make it clear to the readers: Jimmy's story is completely separate from mine. I haven't approved it. I haven't disapproved it. I have asked him to use a different school and different characters from mine. What he does with it is up to him.
