FFF, all I get is a blocked image with a message from Deviant that says "Mature Content Filter is On". And it appears only members can use settings to turn it off. Could you maybe post it to image shack so us non-deviant's can see your master works too? Thanks.

    Talyn, you are the man!!

Thank you for posting this. I had always wanted to search for who they were also but could not remember what the show was called.

A very interesting glitch, and it only seems to affect URLs that start with "www". The URL of my update blog, http://dcmstudiosonlinenews.blogspot.com/ is 29 characters (including the dots) between "http etc." and "com", yet it's a working link.

Or is the glitch only keying on what's contained between the dots, and ignoring "dcmstudiosonlinenews" just like it ignores "www" and passes on the 8-letter "blogspot" because it falls well within the 19-character limit?

Good question, and good example. Lets try…

    http://dcmstudiosonlinenews.blogspot.com/
    http://dcmstudiosonlinenews.com/
    http://blogspot.dcmstudiosonlinenews.com/
    http://www.dcmstudiosonlinenews.blogspot.com/
    http://blogspot.www.dcmstudiosonlinenews.com/
    http://dcmstudiosonlinenews.www.com/
    http://blogspot.dcmstudiosonlinenews.www.com/
    http://dcmstudiosonlinenews.www.blogspot.com/

…And without looking at the code, it's still up for debate.  😀

It is a filtering glitch within the SMF board's programming. It has a maximum character limit of 19 characters for the name of the site.

    So…
    http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com will work while
    http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com will not. (Count the X's. 19 vs 20.)

    And…
    http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com/whatever/and/so/on/ will work while
    http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com/whatever/and/so/on/ will not. (Count the X's. 19 vs 20.)

I don't know if the limit is a setting that Lingster can control or if it means changing the board's programming. At least as a temporary work around, use sites like http://tinyurl.com/ to make urls that trigger the glitch linkable.

Also, note the use of the back-tick ( "" ) I use below. It prevents the url from being turned into a link. It's a good fix for the lazy. 😉

Yikes. Ok, I knew she was dismembered (no more membership here lol) but I never paid enough attention to her (or this board at the time) to be aware of much of what was going on. I followed the provided link out of minor curiousity at best.

Holy fucking overly-verbose novel batman! I just dont care enough to be bothered reading all that, particularly not her super long replies. So anyone such as myself who only is milding curious, be warned. There be waaaaaaaay too many words.

No, not word phobic, but if I want to do that much reading, I will buy another book, maybe one by George Carlin next so I can have the plesant change of *intelligent* writing… something in short supply in that thread. There was a great deal of antagonism present (understatement) in that thread. These boards should never deteriorate down to that level.

Thanks for the link. I never would have known any of that had even transpired.

Bass, you may want to look into Blender 3D. It is an open-source (READ: FREE) program written in java which means it runs on any operating system. No watermarks. No clue as to its ability to import/export its stuff with other 3D apps. I doubt it has such restrictions though. http://www.blender3d.org/

um Marja is 5'2". I asked her once while chatting with her and that's what she told me. And the pic that I'm using as my avatar is one of my own.

Personally, I am hoping you are correct about Marja's height. But I am officially confused now lol.

As for your pic/avatar, it's fucking fantabulous. Thats right, so good, I had to use a made up word cause those in the dictionary just wouldn't do. Turns out I found several of your drawings already in a folder labeled "eric" under my art collection including your avatar. It surprised me that I had not remembered this as I find your art positively awsome.

I have since been to your other threads and posted to them, and I have also joined your Yahoo group. All I have left to say is: MORE! MORE! MORE!!!

    Keep drawing man!

I was actually thinking of starting my own web sight but have no idea where to begin. I've never put together a web page before. I know it probably very easy but having never done it be for I'm pretty clueless.

You certainly *should* put a site up. And as for the "how", I am certain there would be no shortage of those willing to offer advice. Myself included.

I think it IS a sign of flattery. I have my style mimicked and images altered all the time…hell, there's been a few I've seen that I wondered if I drew them and just forgot. 😀

(Steps forward and raises hand) Guilty as charged.  😀

Not sure if I have done any of yours to make you wonder, but I certainly posted my share of CM-mods at Wreck's former board.

…And I happen to like "freaky" biceps… If you've ever seen a pic of Joan Lauth* flexing her guns, then you know what I mean. I like biceps that are not only hard as a rock, but also look like they were carved out of rock…

*Dammit! the WPW site won't let me link directly to her pages!
