ParticipantBut yeah there is more practical reasons like inspiring each other to workout…that in itself is a very good feeling to have support
Then that should be reason enough.
Questio no more and enjoy the company.
Adn be tahnkful every minute that you have some one by your side.
For that is the greatest blessing of existence.

ParticipantI suck at posting in the right section x_X
But yes, I know, I have a lot of things to do and think about…Think nothing of it, dear Child.
Merely a minor thing when compared with something so great.
What lies before is a strange, dangerous yet beautiful Path. You are brave indeed to even comtemplate treading upon it but you have many long and wonderful years ahead of you -who is so full of youth- to achieve what you wish.
Start small, become grand. That is the way of all things.
And, again, best of luck to you, my dear brave child.

ParticipantOh, you sexual beings make I both laugh and chringe.
Working out together is not sexy but merely practicle.
If arousal comes than let it come, if not than enjoy the company of the fairer gender and gain together.
Nothing else needs to be said except for best of luck to you and dear Melanie.

ParticipantTo start, before any and all plans can be made, go and see your doctor to ensure that there are not any health or medical reasons that could prevent your from lifting weights or merely excising -such as heart problems, blood pressure or the kind. Also ask them for a good basic diet plan as well.
Next, visit your local gym and ask to see a personal trainer to see what option you have in training, the costs and time it would take to achieve the individual stages of your overall goal (as in: loose weight, gain strength, etc). Als ask if they have any resident powerlifters (male or female) and ask general questions about the past time to see if it is really suited to you.
Thirdly, speak of it to no one who may critise and prevent you from doing so (especially emotionally) until you are fully prepared to handle and retort their words.
That is all the advice that can be giving for now.
Best of luck to you, dear Child.

The Pimp NeonBlackAlso, this thread shall be moved to the 'training and lifting" section, where it is far more apt.

ParticipantStrawberry: You are better off merely drinking real milk because of the protein and other building materials within.
The natural, organic kind not the processed type that fill the supermarkets. It may cost a little more but the expense is worth it (and you pay a lot more for the so-called 'muscle milk' anyway).
Goats' milk is better than cows' but a little harder to get. Also, buy the organic brands rather than the generic and modified versions.

ParticipantThe said fact is that all bodybuilders and extreme weightlifters, no matter the sex or lifestyle, expose themselves to the risk of heart failure because of the stress the passtime puts on the vascular and circulatory system.
The combination of dieting and water/liquid restrictions, stress upon muscle and blood flow as well as many other factors increase the heart's chances of failure. Taking a regiment of drugs and suppliments (whether legal or not) also increases the probabilites of death through heart failure.
Many people are unaware of this or choose to ignore it but it is still a strong factor when training.
I's have lost friends of both genders who were bodybuilders to heart failure and other such diseases. So the truth of this stings hard. Though many bodybuilders will not succumb to such said Fate, it is still a risk they all bare.
Please dwell upon this.
