Well, like I said in my update post, I'd intended to wait until I had at least a new page each of Tetsuko, Dyna and Satin to post, but it had been awhile since any additions to the comics, so I decded to put this one up early. I didn't want to make too big a deal of it (since, as you've noticed, Tetsuko herself doesn't appear on this page) so I wanted to take a lower-key approach to it, and that led to the "ssh, it's a secret!" joke.

    I tried that link.

When I try to download it, it tells me I must buy the "Pro" version of Quicktime, or it won't let me download it.

Needless to say, I WON'T buy "Pro" Quicktime.

Does anyone know where I can download a copy of this commercial?

Yes, I have Quicktime version 7.

    Thanks for your help.

Are you clicking on the link to play the clip in your browser and THEN trying to download it? That, as you noticed, can only be done if you own QT Pro.

Trying right-clicking directly on that link to bring up the contextual menu that lets you choose where to save the "source target" (or whatever your browser calls it).

    Hope this helps!

Hate to be the one to strike the sour note here, but…

My disaffection (to put it mildly) for tattoos competes with my love for female muscle; and when the skin ink is as extreme as this, unfortunately, they really, really put me off.

As one poster amusingly phrased it at the Unreal Muscle message board (no doubt referring to this pic, "So she's saying that her cooch is on fire?"

(There seems to be something about FBBs named "Smith"… Brenda Smith also seems to be fond of working hard to build muscularity, then obscuring it with tacky tattoos (sorry for the redundancy))

To improve the quality or decrease the filesize of the movies, I would reccomend using a Divx codec, and using an avi format.

Those would be valid reasons to use a different format, but…

    MOV is kinda old.

😕 What''s that got to do with anything?

Another quote that contains a nugget of wisdom …and I can't remember who first said it, but boy, is it true!…

"An artist never finishes a work; he merely abandons it."

Haven't we all been there?… to our eyes, the piece is 90 to 95 per cent "finished", but there's always something that can be done to (we think at the time) "improve" it, only to wind up sabotaging the picture by overworking it.

And now that it's officially Thursday 8/18 (at least where I am), I can present my gift…

    Enjoy!

saw it loud and clear with the first link.

Thanks.  We need more hugs in art.  😀

Y'know, he's right… we do need more hugs.

And Tetsuko, bless her heart, has been so thrilled with the positive reception she's gotten from the members of this board that she'd love to hug each and every one of you. But since (with a few exceptions) I don't know what you look like, the only way I know to solve that problem is like this…

(yes, some of you have seen this before…)

Actually, I think you're saving time by not scanning a drawing on paper (and then having to go through tonal adjustments to get rid of smudges, etc.). I'm pretty sure I am by dispensing with paper.

You've got a great method, judging by the results!

But you were asking about us…

As for me, it could take anywhere from one or two hours for a "quickie" sketch where I don't mind a few rough edges in the line work and/or am satisfied with simple solid colors (like this two-panel sequence you may remember from another topic), to over ten hours (spread out over two or three days) for something more elaborate.

Nice pic! I especially like your line work.
