Allow me to add my *huzzah* to this crowd, David.
Before we get too deep into the pages to come (probably already too late), kudos to the image on page 6 of Sonya in Tet's arms. Every good comic artist has to do his take on Michelangelo's Pieta, yes  😀 ?

One thought about re Sonya's dialogue as the transformation, er, takes shape. Shouldn't she be trying to define the experience, as best she can, in scientific terms? Tet did the best she could ("like being injected with molten lava"); I imagine Sonya would try to be more technical, even as the physical sensations try to overwhelm her.

Hope you're having as much fun putting this together as we are drinking it in…

Let me add a kudo, Fonkster. I always appreciate FMG stories that 1) show some imagination 2) show some whimsy 3) show that the writer is paying attention to the tale and 4) have a tale to tell, as compared a few sweaty-palmed paragraphs sandwiched around the growth description.

You did damn well on all points. Great job.

Thanks, Vincent, Pimpster and Everyone Else. I'm pleased with how the big girl looks, too. I usually get a kick out of doing "from below" lighting because it changes things up; we're so accustomed to lighting from above or to the side that this looks unusual and, hopefully, dramatic.

Give yourself a tip o' the hat, DCM, since I studied your "take a look at these biceps" Tetsuko frame, along with a couple of male BB double-bi photos, for this drawing.

So, does anyone think she'll keep her day job after this? Maybe Marion, Sheila and Jessie the Ball Buster could form an ECW tag team (are you listening, Tommy)!!

And bless Wreck Shop, wherever he is. He'd be proud to see that we all found each other again 🙂

And then there this father-daughter moment from "She Hulk of Earth 2" (though it's always looked to me that he's being smothered in there)…

These are examples of the type of Pete stuff I enjoy the most. Relaxed poses, the women just hangin' out, while their bods bust out all over the place. You know, serene and WOW.

Weird. I honestly don't think I have a style. And I think that's because I spend most my drawing time focusing on "getting it right" — that is, figurework, musculature, facial structure, foreshortening, even the damn hair. I use a lot of reference photos (all hail to DtV's Newsthumbs!) to get a sense of the pose I'm looking for. Of course, I almost always have to add a lotta beef; not many fitness models have the guns of Sheila Huckaby. I guess I'm shooting for a comic-bookish realism.

Anime passed me by, so it's no influence. But I am impressed with the Justice League/Teen Titans cartoon style, and have tried that approach a couple of times. But most of all, I just see the flaws, especially after I've posted the art online ("Jeebus Christmas, how could I have tilted her eyes like that?")

Basically, I feel as if I'm in constant learning and tinkering mode, and have a tough time referring to that as a style.

    Ya know?

Interesting question. Honestly, the buttload of drawings I did recently for "She Hulk of Earth 2" streamlined things a bit. A single-figure drawing, from pencil to color, consumes four to five hours. Most of that time is spent in the pencil and color stages. I don't devote a lot of time to inking, figuring the color render will provide most of the textures. I use Paint Shop Pro, not PS, but have been using it for so many years that I've got the shortcuts down pat.

A growth sequence, natcherly, requires more time, especially in the coloring dept. Those can eat up 8 to 10 hours or more.

It appears you've come to one of the right places. They've set up a place to post stories (there's a post about it on the blog), and you can always toss images onto a message thread.

Are you still drawing today? I (and others, I'm sure) would be interested to see how your stuff has evolved. I mean, 10 years ago. Dude! Sounds like you have a biiiig backlog of material.

Heck, I started drawing muscle-growth sequences when I was in junior high. Went through several sketch pads. All were tossed long before I started posting online.

Anyway, welcome, and show us whatcha got.
